Corpus Delicti Nice, France
Corpus Delicti created beautiful haunting grooves. The band started in 1992 and broke up in 1997. Five years, four studio
albums and two compilations on Cleopatra.
2020 is the year of reunion !
Firts, the band is back on stage to give a second life to these cult albums.
In 2023, 30 years after "Twilight", they released a new single "Chaos" and are now working on a new album.

I bought the 12 inch single for Bela Lugosi’s Dead at Fred’s records in St. John’s, Newfoundland in the eighties and it remained a treasured item in my collection until it was lost, left behind, stolen, loaned out, whatever. I accepted that that item was lost to time and likely irreplaceable. Hence my utter shock to see that I will once again hear this evocative masterwork on vinyl along with an extra three tracks. I recall Boys was included on the B-side of that long list single. Thank you!

I like the subtle way in which the tracks connect to the album cover, making this resting maiden the center point — calm in the midst of storm. (Just my interpretation maybe but the cover gives extra depth to the music... a softer undertone). The image reminds me of ‘Annunciation’ by Dante G. Rossetti used in ‘Adrenaline’ music video. ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ puts me at peace with big disappointments — a bittersweet musical potion.
